What is shared hosting and who is it for?

Shared hosting places many websites on one server, keeping the price low. It suits blogs, company websites and small online stores; you can upgrade to cloud or VPS Malaysia plans without downtime.

Where are MERCUMAYA servers located?

Our shared and cloud servers are in a Tier-III data centre in Malaysia, giving Malaysian visitors lower latency and faster loading.

How do I register a .my domain with MYNIC?

.MY domains are administered by MYNIC Berhad. Malaysian individuals can register .my with a MyKad; .com.my requires an SSM-registered company. MERCUMAYA checks your supporting documents before submission to MYNIC and activation typically completes within one working day.

What is the difference between DV, OV and EV SSL certificates?

DV validates domain control only and issues in minutes. OV also verifies your organisation. EV applies the strictest checks and is used by banks and large e-commerce sites for maximum trust.
